Ephraim King MA, Managing Director and CEO

Ephraim KingFrank Ephraim King (also known as FE or Effie) has been a major player in the information development field since 1996. He served as team leader and project manager for documentation projects in many different fields including semiconductors, communications, information technology, military and civil aviation, medical technologies, virtualization, and cloud computing. Ephraim has taught extensively in the hi-tech community, and has several years’ experience training new technical writers. His teaching techniques include anecdotes and tips for success from his own real-life work experiences. Ephraim holds a Master’s degree from the University of Florida and is active in several community organizations.


Leah Guren, TechComm Curriculum Advisor & Trainer

Leah Guren

Leah Guren has been active in the field of technical communication since 1980 and now devotes her time to training and consulting. Leah works with technical communication teams all over the world, using humor and a lively, interactive training approach to help them solve their biggest content development challenges. She also provides consulting services to companies emphasizing documentation UX, creating global-ready content, and documenting medical devices. Leah’s clients include  top high-tech and biotech companies including Intel, IBM, Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, RAD, Cisco, Medtronic, and Rambam Medical Center. Leah is popular speaker in the field of TechComm, a published author, and one of the leading instructors in the field. She has helped hundreds of new practitioners enter the field of TechComm in Israel, the United States, and throughout Europe. Leah is a Fellow in the Society for Technical Communication and a founding member of Tekom Israel.

Laura Novich MSc, Advanced TC Skills Lecturer

Laura NovichLaura Novich entered into technical writing in 1997 and has worked in both startups and fortune 500 companies. She is a contributor to opensource.com,  and a founding member of  Write the Docs Israel chapter.  Laura is a frequent presenter at MEGAComm and has presented at Write the Docs in Portland. Laura has won the prestigious Red Hat EXCeed award for her outstanding collaboration work as well as the 3Com 3Award for her outstanding work in managing the ATM documentation project. In her current role, Laura is the Technical Communications Manager at ScyllaDB.

Laura was recently asked to join the board of ITCQF, the International Technical Communication Qualifications Foundation. ITCQF is an international foundation whose mission is to certify technical communicators worldwide.  As a board member, she will drive the effort to create a new syllabus for API Documentation Certification.  Both Laura and FE recently completed the certification process and are working to bring this effort to Our Best Words in order to provide certification paths for our students. Laura has both a B.Sc. in psychology, an M.Sc. in TESOL, and is a licensed English teacher (K-12) in Israel and the USA.

Deborah Meidan, Marketing & Social Media Lecturer

Deborah has over 18 years of experience in marketing communications, content marketing and strategy for a wide range of global B2B Israeli companies operating in Agritech, Proptech, Watertech, Hitech and Medical Device sectors.

The evolution of Deborah’s career as a marketing professional has allowed her to gain a deep understanding across digital and traditional platforms of communications which she leverages in her consulting and training to provide a lively, holistic and practical approach to marketing.


Nadine Wildmann MBA, Website Building Lecturer and Webmaster

Nadine WildmannNadine Wildmann is a senior level international marketing professional with expertise encompassing project management, website planning and development, social media, branding, marketing and online fundraising campaigns. Previous positions in Jerusalem include the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem, the Pardes Institute, Versaware Technologies, The Learning Company and Accent Software. Experience in the U.S. includes Bozell Worldwide, Chiat/Day, D’Arcy Worldwide, Chrysler Imports, Continental Airlines, Canon Computers, Lorimar Television, McDonalds, and B’nei Akiva.

Nadine has an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in Mass Media Communications from UCLA.

Daniel Feldman MSc, Project and Training Manager

Daniel FeldmanDaniel Feldman, based in New York, has been developing and delivering training programs for 25 years. He specializes in full project development, including analyzing business training needs, designing manuals and technical materials, delivering classroom and on-line courses, and providing post-training assessment and support. He is a certified MS Office Master Trainer and a certified Oracle SQL Programmer. He earned a Master of Science degree in Organizational Behavior from Polytechnic University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Brooklyn College.

Daniel has written extensively and taught courses in business ethics and in enhancing learning performance.

Perry Smith BSc, Director of Intellectual Property Strategy and Project Consultant

Perry brings over 35 years’ experience in embedded processor and IoT applications, including managing of interdisciplinary hardware, software, and security teams. Combining this with his over 5 years’ experience as Vice President of Intellectual Property Strategy for Cisco Israel (aka NDS/Synamedia), BSc in Physics from SUNY at Albany and his MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickenson University allows Perry to analyze problems from a multi-disciplinary viewpoint.

Steven Leichman, MBA—Senior Technical Writer, Cyber Security Specialist

Steve Leichman has almost 40 years of experience in the IT industry. He started as a custom business systems programmer and later became the IT manager for companies in the US and in Israel. He has extensive experience in many diverse industries such as mortgage servicing, real estate management, footwear, and much more. The last 6 years, Steve has been the technical communicator for several Israeli startups. This includes developing both technical documentation and marketing material.

Judith Linder, Office Manager & Marketing Coordinator

Judith has a BA in Economics and an MBA in Marketing and International Business- both from NYU. She has years of experience in administrative and marketing positions in business, sales and academia. She worked in coordinating sales distributors and banking at a food manufacturer; communications and coordination between staff and students at an academic college, and in sales support in the international division at a software company. She is fluent in English and Hebrew. Judith coordinates our training program and handles marketing and social media activities for internal and customer-facing projects.
