I had the privilege to learn advanced TechComm skills from Laura Novich from Our Best Words. Laura’s knowledge is phenomenal. She always had great answers to our questions. On the occasion that she didn’t have an immediate answer, she always got back to us. Her lectures were well structured and a pleasure to follow. Her slide decks are informative and succinct. Laura provides her students with the most relevant tools required to succeed in the modern TechComm industry. Each week she expanded our horizons, guiding us through how to make PowerPoint presentations, Agile methodology, team collaboration software, GitHub, GitLab, Madcap Flare, API documentation, and more.
Leah taught us the foundations of effective technical communication. What an honor! I instantly felt at home in her lectures. It is clear that this is someone who is at the top of her game. Her lectures are easy to follow, and her slide-deck is always clear and precise. The homework assignments were challenging and cleverly designed. We constantly had to think out of the box, push ourselves, and research new concepts to complete the tasks.

It was a huge honor to learn Technical Communication at Our Best Words. The course was given during the COVID-19 pandemic, a tricky period of time whereby frontal lectures were suddenly not a viable option. Nevertheless, the program was run seamlessly from start to finish. It felt as if they had been running the course in an online format for years! The lecturers are first class, and their knowledge of the industry is outstanding. Each week we had to hand in an assignment. The assignments were challenging and encouraged us to constantly be learning and discovering new things on our own. The course material was well structured and easy to follow. The course also included practical tools for jobseekers, which is a massive added benefit. I am fully confident to say that my decision to learn TechComm at Our Best Words has been a sound investment in my career.
