Before embarking on the TechComm Foundations quest, every candidate must pass a skills check in:
- Technology Basics
- and/or Microsoft Word Basics
This ensures you’re equipped with the essential tools to handle the missions ahead.

Technology Basics Quest 🕹️
(Mandatory if you don’t pass the aptitude test)
This starter mission ensures every player has the essential gear and skills to survive and thrive.
You’ll learn:
- 🖥️ Hardware & Software Basics
Understand your computer’s core components and how software powers your work.
- 💻 Operating System Basics (Windows)
Navigate folders, settings, shortcuts, and system tools like a pro.
- 🛡️ Becoming Tech-Savvy
Learn to adapt quickly, troubleshoot effectively, and become a self-sufficient learner when facing new tech challenges.
This is your tutorial level — once completed, you’ll be ready to take on the advanced quests of TechComm Foundations with confidence.
Microsoft Word Basics – Tutorial Mission 📝
(Mandatory if you don’t pass the aptitude test)
This course builds the foundation for professional documentation work.
Mission Objectives:
- Overview & Styles Introduction
Learn the fundamentals of Word and how to wield Styles as your core ability.
- Styles & Templates
Master Templates to format like a pro, save time, and maintain document consistency.

Before entering the arena, every player must complete a screening challenge:

Only those who clear this entry stage are accepted — ensuring every cohort is ready to level up together.

On the myQuest platform, every lesson is a Level you can replay whenever you need.

There’s no penalty for grinding — in fact, we encourage it.

Government Funding & Scholarships 💎
You may qualify for government funding toward the Foundations course if you:
- Are a recent Oleh or Olah
- Are unemployed
